The Vichy Dermablend range is a specialist makeup range created by L’Oreal. It offers high coverage, long hold make-up that provides a natural looking, flawless finish. Recommended by dermatologists and used by make-up artists, Dermablend products are easy to use and suitable for mild to severe skin concerns. I worked with the Vichy Dermablend team from 2016 – 2019 and helped them evolve their brand from a third party eCommerce website to being fully integrated on Vichy’s own eCommerce platform as well as working on designs for third party and social platforms it gave me great pleasure in helping them grow.

A hub of rich and informative content

For the first time Vichy had the ability to offer their users a hub of content catered to their needs. It was important that the user journey was easy and the ability to shop by concern was a key feature to their needs.

I carried out key requirements gathering workshops with marketing and development teams in order to establish layout and priority of content balanced with user needs and commercial initiatives – from classic banners, to content suites and curated information pages.

Responsive email campaigns

Not only did we want Dermablend to have a new presence and brand awareness on our eCommerce platform we also wanted to target our core Dermablend user base with bespoke emails and new responsive first designs.

I created a suite of mobile first designs that could be curated to fit new launches, reviews, step by step guides and product recommendations that separated Dermablend from the normal Vichy look and feel.

Brand Awareness: Third party content page designs

Dermablend had worked hard to grow relationships with large third party websites such as Feel Unique and Escentual. New product launches and refreshed visuals called for new brand awareness. I worked with marketing in order to push new product awareness as well as ensure priority of content was suited to users needs by designing curated content pages for each of these large premium beauty partners.
